CVE-2026-50237: Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) in Red Hat Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.20CVE-2026-50237
0

CVE-2026-50237 is a high-severity vulnerability in the OpenShift Console Helm catalog proxy that allows a namespace tenant to plant a ProjectHelmChartRepository with an arbitrary URL. This causes the console pod to fetch data server-side, bypassing tenant egress restrictions. When combined with catalog metadata poisoning and admin-mediated chart installation, this flaw can lead to privilege escalation. Red Hat has released security updates for OpenShift Container Platform versions 4.20.34 and 4.21.29 to address this issue.
