0 A vulnerability in io.netty:netty-codec-redis (CVE-2026-48006) causes a permanent memory leak of pooled direct-memory buffers when Redis pipeline connections close prematurely before completing a RESP array aggregate. This leak exhausts the JVM-wide direct-memory pool, leading to denial of service (DoS) across all Netty channels in the affected process. The issue arises because the RedisArrayAggregator handler retains child messages without proper lifecycle cleanup methods to release resources. A patch is available to address this flaw.
