GHSA-75vm-6w67-gwvp: Coder's OIDC email_verified type coercion bypass enables account takeover via unverified email linkingCVE-2026-55076 0 Coder's OIDC callback improperly handled the email_verified claim by asserting it as a Go boolean type. If the identity provider (IdP) returned email_verified as a non-boolean value or omitted it, the assertion failed open, treating the email as verified. This flaw, combined with an unconditional email-based account fallback, allowed attackers to take over accounts by linking unverified emails. The issue affects multiple release lines of Coder and has been fixed in versions 2.34.2, 2.33.8, 2.32.7, and 2.29.17. Workarounds are limited to ensuring the IdP returns email_verified as a native JSON boolean; upgrading is required to fully mitigate the vulnerability.
