In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: thunderbolt: Fix frags[] overflow by bounding frame_count tbnet_poll()… (CVE-2026-72157)CVE-2026-72157
0

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Thunderbolt network driver (tbnet_poll) allowed a peer to cause a buffer overflow by sending a packet with too many small frames. This overflow occurs because the frame count was bounded too high, exceeding the maximum number of allowed skb fragments, leading to memory corruption. The issue has been resolved by tightening the bounds on the frame count to prevent exceeding the fragment array size.
