In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: wwan: iosm: bound device offsets in the MUX downlink decoder… (CVE-2026-72029)CVE-2026-72029 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's iosm network driver was resolved that involved improper validation of device-supplied offsets and lengths in the MUX downlink decoder. The decoder used unvalidated indices and lengths from the modem, leading to potential out-of-bounds reads and an infinite loop condition. This could cause a slab out-of-bounds read during normal downlink receive operations once the iosm net device is active.
