In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pmdomain: mediatek: Fix possible nullptr KP in HWV cleanup/on-check Should probe… (CVE-2026-72008)CVE-2026-72008 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Mediatek power domain driver could lead to a null pointer kernel panic during hardware voter (HWV) cleanup or on-check operations. The issue arises because the driver unconditionally attempts cleanup and power state checks without properly verifying the domain type or power state, which could cause instability. Although this bug has not been observed in practice due to specific conditions not being met, it was identified and fixed by adding proper type checks and calling appropriate power management functions.
