A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's IB/isert component caused a NULL pointer dereference leading to a kernel oops. The issue arises because the final Login Response is sent before the session is fully registered, allowing an initiator to send SCSI commands against an uninitialized session. This has been resolved by delaying the final Login Response until after session registration completes.
