A flaw was found in acm-search-v2-rhel9. (CVE-2026-71472)CVE-2026-71472
0

A critical vulnerability (CVE-2026-71472) exists in acm-search-v2-rhel9, part of Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes. It allows a highly privileged authenticated user, such as a hub administrator or Search Custom Resource editor, to inject malicious shell commands or SQL statements via an improperly validated WORK_MEM string. This can lead to arbitrary code execution within the privileged postgres pod, potentially compromising the entire cluster's search service with cluster-wide impersonation privileges. No official fix or mitigation currently meets Red Hat's criteria for deployment and stability.
