Angular Service Worker Policy-Bypass & Credential-Stripping Vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-50169)CVE-2026-50169 0 A vulnerability in the @angular/service-worker package causes the service worker to strip strict client-defined redirect policies during request reconstruction, defaulting to automatic redirect following. This bypass allows the service worker to follow HTTP 3xx redirects to sensitive same-origin endpoints, potentially exposing credentials or session-restricted data. Exploitation requires an active Angular service worker, asset group matching the redirected route, same-origin dynamic redirection from public to private endpoints, an authenticated user session, and client-side fetch calls with strict redirect policies. Patches are available in versions 19.2.23, 20.3.22, 21.2.15, and 22.0.0-rc.2. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 06/15/2026, 16:44:21 UTC Added: 07/16/2026, 10:36:00 UTC |
