In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: mrp: fix uninitialised bytes on the wire br_mrp_alloc_test_skb()… (CVE-2026-74659)CVE-2026-74659 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's network bridge MRP (Multiple Registration Protocol) implementation caused uninitialized bytes to be sent on the wire in MRP test frames. Specifically, the sub-option TLV header's length field and trailing alignment bytes were not properly initialized, resulting in three uninitialized bytes in every MRA MRP_Test frame transmitted. This issue has been resolved by changing the code to zero these bytes before transmission. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/22/2026, 18:30:28 UTC Added: 08/22/2026, 22:51:29 UTC |
