ImageMagick versions before 6.9.13-57 and 7.x before 7.1.2-32 have a stack overflow vulnerability in the MSL decoder due to an incorrect depth check that fails to limit recursion. This flaw allows crafted MSL images to exhaust the stack, causing the process to crash and resulting in a denial of service. There is no impact on confidentiality or integrity. The vulnerability has a medium severity rating with a CVSS score of 5.3. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 10/12/2026, 18:31:41 UTC Added: 10/12/2026, 21:46:55 UTC |
