A flaw was found in 389-ds-base. (CVE-2026-18663)CVE-2026-18663
0

A double-free vulnerability exists in 389-ds-base 3.x in the get_ldapmessage_controls_ext() function when handling a critical Session Tracking control during an unauthenticated BIND request. This can cause heap corruption and potentially lead to denial of service. The issue primarily affects builds using the glibc allocator; Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 and RHDS 13 use jemalloc, which mitigates crashing. No information disclosure or privilege escalation has been demonstrated. Mitigations include ignoring the criticality of the Session Tracking control and restricting network access to LDAP ports.
