@angular/common: Denial of Service (DoS) via OOM in Number Formatting (digitsInfo) (CVE-2026-50171)CVE-2026-50171 0 A Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability exists in the @angular/common package affecting the formatNumber function and related pipes (DecimalPipe, PercentPipe, CurrencyPipe). The vulnerability arises from improper validation of the digitsInfo parameter, allowing an attacker to specify excessively large fraction digit values. This causes an unbounded loop that exhausts memory or blocks the main thread. Exploitation can crash Node.js servers using server-side rendering or freeze client browsers in client-side rendering. The vulnerability affects versions up to and including 18.2.14 and is patched in later releases. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 06/15/2026, 16:52:30 UTC Added: 07/16/2026, 10:36:00 UTC |
