CVE-2024-22123 is a low-severity vulnerability in Zabbix Server where setting SMS media allows specifying a GSM modem file. Because Linux treats devices as files, an attacker can set an arbitrary file such as a log file. The server then attempts to communicate with this file as if it were a modem, corrupting the log file with AT commands and leaking a small portion of its content to the user interface.
