Gitea LFS Deploy-Key Privilege Escalation (CVE-2026-58435)CVE-2026-58435 0 Gitea versions prior to 1.27.0 contain a privilege escalation vulnerability in the LFS (Large File Storage) deploy key handling. The system incorrectly assigns the repository owner's user ID to deploy keys in JWT tokens, causing the LFS server to treat deploy key requests as if they originate from the repository owner. This allows an attacker with write deploy key access to one repository to access LFS objects from any private repository owned by the same user, bypassing intended access restrictions. The vulnerability arises from a trust boundary confusion between authentication and authorization subsystems in Gitea's LFS server implementation.
