CVE-2025-21928 is a use-after-free vulnerability in the Intel ISHTP HID driver in the Linux kernel. It occurs in the ishtp_hid_remove() function due to improper memory handling when removing the driver. This can cause the system to crash shortly after driver removal because freed memory is accessed during device destruction. The issue is fixed by changing the order of freeing driver data to avoid accessing invalid memory.
