Duplicate Advisory: n8n: Privilege Escalation and Code Execution via Full Public API Key Scope Assignment to Token Exchange JWTs 0 n8n versions before 2.30.1 and 2.29.8 have a vulnerability where all Public API key scopes are assigned to JWTs issued via the Token Exchange module regardless of the user's role. This allows a low-privileged user with a valid external JWT to perform administrator-only Public API actions such as role escalation, user creation, and deletion.
