Dompdf: Chroot Validation Bypass (CVE-2026-55554)CVE-2026-55554 0 Dompdf versions prior to 3.1.6 contain a vulnerability in the chroot validation logic that allows bypassing local file restrictions. The vulnerability arises because the chroot check uses a prefix string comparison without enforcing a trailing directory separator, allowing access to directories with similar path prefixes outside the intended chroot. An attacker controlling rendered HTML can exploit this to access files outside the allowed directory. This vulnerability has a low severity impact and no known exploits in the wild.
