The npm package cindy-ketoprak37-breki contains malicious code linked to a large-scale spam campaign flooding the npm registry with over 15,000 packages in 2024. These packages include autopublish scripts that automatically generate and publish derivative packages with randomized names to manipulate developer reputation scores for the tea.xyz token reward system. The malicious payload modifies package metadata to remove privacy flags, alters version numbers, and continuously republishes variants, thereby polluting the npm ecosystem.
