The npm package fadhil-esdoger15-riris contains malicious code linked to the tea.xyz token reward campaign that flooded the npm registry with over 15,000 spam packages in 2024. This malware uses autopublish scripts to automatically generate and publish derivative packages with randomized Indonesian-themed names. The payload modifies package.json files to remove private flags, alters version numbers, and continuously republishes variants to inflate developer reputation scores for token rewards. This activity pollutes the npm ecosystem with spam and potentially deceptive packages.
