The npm package vera-soto50-sukiwir contains malicious code linked to a large-scale spam campaign involving over 15,000 packages. These packages use autopublish scripts to automatically generate and publish derivative packages with randomized Indonesian-themed names. The malicious payload manipulates package.json files by removing private flags and altering version numbers, enabling continuous republishing of variants to pollute the npm registry and inflate developer reputation scores for tea protocol token rewards.
