This campaign involves over 15,000 spam packages that use autopublish scripts to generate and publish numerous derivative packages with randomized Indonesian-themed names. The malicious payload modifies package metadata to remove private flags, alters version numbers, and continuously republishes variants to inflate developer reputation scores fraudulently.
