The npm package gilang-ketoprak70-riris contains malicious code as part of a large-scale spam campaign linked to tea.xyz token rewards. This campaign involves over 15,000 spam packages that use autopublish scripts to generate and publish derivative packages with randomized names. The malicious payload manipulates package.json files by removing private flags, altering version numbers, and generating random Indonesian-themed package names. These actions enable continuous republishing of variants, polluting the npm registry and inflating developer reputation scores within the tea protocol token reward system.
