MAL-2026-10095: Malicious code in fury_frontend-andes-ui (npm)
0

The npm package fury_frontend-andes-ui version 99.9.5 contains malicious code that executes automatically upon installation. Its postinstall script collects the installer's OS username, current working directory, and external IPv4 address, then sends this data to a hardcoded external server. The package name mimics an internal legitimate package to trick dependency resolution, representing a dependency confusion attack. The package provides no legitimate functionality and solely acts as an identity beacon during installation.
