MAL-2026-10107: Malicious code in security-node (npm) 0 The security-node npm package version 1.1.4 declares its own package name as a dependency and devDependency pointing to a non-official registry URL served over plaintext HTTP. This allows an attacker controlling the third-party host or performing a man-in-the-middle attack to substitute the package contents during installation. Although the current code in the tarball is benign, the mechanism enables arbitrary code delivery bypassing npm registry protections.
