MAL-2026-10131: Malicious code in express-session-kit (npm) 0 The express-session-kit npm package is a malicious typosquatting package impersonating the popular express-session library. It contains a dropper that attempts to execute arbitrary code fetched covertly from a remote server via a 404 HTTP response. The payload enables remote code execution (RCE) in the Node.js process, potentially compromising any system that installs or runs this package. The malicious code is triggered by requiring the payload script or could become active with minor code fixes. This is a supply-chain attack targeting developers who mistakenly install this package instead of the legitimate express-session library.
