MAL-2026-10135: Malicious code in theta-sdk-js (npm) 0 The npm package theta-sdk-js versions 1.2.14, 1.2.15, 1.2.16, and 1.2.17 contain malicious code hidden in the src/ directory. This code decrypts encrypted payloads using a hardcoded password and executes them in detached child Node.js processes, enabling a hidden execution channel. The main distributed entrypoint is clean, but importing subpaths or using bundlers that resolve src/index.js triggers the malicious behavior. This evasion technique indicates deliberate malicious intent rather than legitimate SDK functionality. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 07/10/2026, 16:15:18 UTC Added: 07/11/2026, 09:36:57 UTC |
