MAL-2026-10184: Malicious code in mongoose-schema-unique (npm) 0 The npm package mongoose-schema-unique versions 4.0.2, 4.0.3, and 4.0.4 contains malicious code that executes an asynchronous fetch to a public JSON paste service at module load. This fetch retrieves attacker-controlled data which is then sent to a worker thread for execution. The referenced worker module is missing from the package, indicating that the payload is dynamically controlled by whoever manages the paste content. This behavior is unrelated to the package's intended functionality as a Mongoose uniqueness-validation plugin and suggests a name/maintainer takeover to deliver remote code execution at import time.
