MAL-2026-10189: Malicious code in tinymask-js (npm) 0 The npm package 'tinymask-js' version 1.0.2 is a malicious package that downloads and executes an OS-specific binary from an untrusted external source. The binary is saved under misleading names ('WinMetrics', 'WinService.exe') unrelated to the package's advertised functionality and is executed without user awareness. The package mimics the legitimate 'tinymask' package by declaring it as a dependency and exporting it, so consumers who mistype the package name receive expected functionality alongside the hidden malicious payload.
