Malicious code in @idms-corp/auth-ui (npm) 0 The @idms-corp/auth-ui npm package is a malicious package published as part of a dependency confusion attack. It impersonates an internal package namespace to trick misconfigured resolvers into installing it instead of the legitimate private package. During installation, it executes a preinstall hook that collects the host's public IP and system metadata, then sends this information to an attacker-controlled Sentry endpoint. Additionally, the package silently routes error telemetry from consuming applications to the attacker's Sentry project if no explicit DSN is provided. This behavior constitutes reconnaissance and potential data exfiltration. The package versions 0.0.0 and 1.0.0 are affected. Any system with this package installed should be considered compromised.
