MAL-2026-10398: Malicious code in @db-tools/main-app (npm) 0 The npm package @db-tools/main-app version 2026.6.30 contains malicious code that executes a preinstall hook on every npm install. This hook sends the installer's public IP address and synthetic exception data to an author-controlled Sentry project without user consent. Additionally, the package's init() function silently sends application exceptions and personally identifiable information (PII) to the same remote Sentry project if no explicit DSN is provided, with no disclosure in the documentation.
