MAL-2026-10423: Malicious code in supertokens-web (npm) 0 The npm package 'supertokens-web' version 1.16.0 is a malicious package impersonating the legitimate 'supertokens-web-js' authentication SDK. Upon being required, it downloads and executes an unverified binary from a non-publisher Vercel-hosted URL, placing it in hidden user directories and running it silently. The package uses obfuscation techniques to hide the malicious payload's URL and filenames, deceiving users who mistype the dependency name.
