MAL-2026-10424: Malicious code in terminal-mascot (npm) 0 The npm package terminal-mascot version 3.5.2 contains malicious code in its postinstall script that downloads and executes arbitrary code from a remote, mutable URL without verification. This allows attacker-controlled code execution during installation. The package metadata is misleading, complicating assessment by users. The fetch mechanism also allows downgrade from HTTPS to HTTP, increasing exposure to man-in-the-middle attacks.
