MAL-2026-10491: Malicious code in assertcoreutils (npm) 0 The assertcoreutils npm package is a malicious typosquatting package impersonating the popular chai assertion library. It includes copied chai files to appear legitimate but executes a hidden detached child process that fetches and runs remote code during installation. This behavior enables arbitrary code execution on the host system. The affected versions are 2.3.2 and 2.3.3.
