Malicious code in type-unique (npm) 0 The npm package type-unique version 3.1.3 is malicious. It impersonates the pino logger but executes a detached child process that fetches and runs remote JavaScript code with full Node.js privileges. This remote code execution allows an attacker to run arbitrary code on any system that loads this package. The malicious payload is fetched from unauthenticated third-party JSON hosting services controlled by the attacker. Systems with this package installed should be considered fully compromised, and secrets should be rotated. Removal of the package alone may not eliminate all malicious artifacts.
