The nodemon-web package on npm is a malicious clone of the legitimate nodemon package. It impersonates the original author and repository metadata but introduces a hidden dependency on type-swap, which is not used by the package itself. Installing nodemon-web results in the silent installation of potentially malicious third-party code. Systems with this package installed should be considered fully compromised, and all stored secrets and keys must be rotated immediately. Removal of the package alone may not fully remediate the compromise.
