MAL-2026-10679: Malicious code in rakibox (npm)
0

The npm package 'rakibox' version 2.0.0 contains malicious code that, when the 'rakibox push' command is run, recursively uploads the user's entire working directory (excluding a minimal ignore list) to a hardcoded Cloudflare R2 bucket owned by the package author. The package includes embedded Cloudflare R2 access credentials, exposing the bucket to unauthorized writes by anyone installing the package. This behavior deviates from user expectations of a git-wrapper tool and results in unintended data exfiltration.
