Malicious code in init-js-examples (npm) 0 The npm package 'init-js-examples' version 1.0.0 contains malicious code that executes during the postinstall lifecycle hook. This code opens a TCP connection to a hardcoded remote IP address and connects it to a shell process, effectively granting the remote endpoint interactive shell access. This results in full remote code execution and establishes a persistent backdoor on the host where the package is installed.
