Malicious code in habinger (npm) 0 The npm package 'habinger' version 2.1.6 contains malicious code executed during its postinstall script. On Linux systems, it adds an attacker-controlled SSH public key to the authorized_keys file and modifies firewall rules to allow SSH access, enabling persistent remote access. Additionally, it searches for sensitive files such as Solana CLI keypairs and environment configuration files, uploading them to an attacker-controlled server. It also downloads scanning patterns to recursively search and exfiltrate matching files from the user's home directory or all logical drives on Windows.
