Malicious code in checkout-create-pos-order-am (npm) 0 The npm package 'checkout-create-pos-order-am' version 20.9.5 is identified as malicious. Upon requiring its main entry, it downloads and executes an opaque native binary from external Cloudflare Workers hosts using obfuscated domain names and a DNS TXT record covert channel fallback. This binary is written to temporary directories with disguised filenames and executed detached from the main process. The package falsely advertises itself as a checkout/POS-order library but performs unauthorized code execution without verification of the downloaded payload.
