Malicious code in json-validator-utils (npm) 0 The json-validator-utils npm package contains malicious code that acts as a multi-stage dropper. When its public API (validateJson/validateXml) is called, it decodes a hardcoded command-and-control URL and downloads a platform-specific payload. This payload is executed on the host system and establishes persistence by creating and enabling systemd units on Linux or LaunchAgents plists on macOS.
