Malicious code in scandoc-scandoc-core (npm) 0 The npm package scandoc-scandoc-core version 20.8.5 contains malicious code that downloads and executes platform-specific binaries from dynamically constructed Cloudflare Workers hostnames. It uses covert DNS-TXT record channels to fetch payloads, writes them to temporary locations disguised as legitimate .NET diagnostic files, and executes them detached from the main process. The package includes a secondary dropper module masquerading as an analytics SDK with similar malicious behavior. Any system with this package installed or running should be considered fully compromised, and all secrets and keys on the system must be rotated immediately from a different machine.
