Malicious code in sme-scripts-cli (npm) 0 The npm package sme-scripts-cli version 20.5.3 contains malicious code that downloads and executes OS-specific binaries from obfuscated Cloudflare worker endpoints without verification. The payload is saved under disguised filenames in temporary directories and executed with elevated permissions. A second variant is embedded as a disguised analytics SDK. Any system with this package installed should be considered fully compromised, requiring immediate secret/key rotation and package removal.
