Malicious code in statist-browser-typed-client-mb.product.sme.cards (npm) 0 The npm package statist-browser-typed-client-mb.product.sme.cards version 20.5.9 contains malicious code that downloads and executes platform-specific binaries from multiple obfuscated Cloudflare Workers hosts and fallback domains. The binaries are saved to temporary directories with disguised filenames, given executable permissions on POSIX systems, and executed detached from the main process. The package uses runtime string concatenation to evade static detection and masquerades its behavior as telemetry or analytics. Any system with this package installed or running should be considered fully compromised, and all secrets and keys on that system should be rotated immediately. Removal of the package alone may not eliminate all malicious components due to potential full system compromise.
