Malicious code in @kite-js-tools/core (npm) 0 The npm package @kite-js-tools/core version 1.0.0 contains malicious preinstall and postinstall lifecycle scripts that execute automatically during installation. These scripts perform network callbacks to an attacker-controlled domain, leaking the installer's hostname and process ID via HTTPS requests and DNS resolutions. This behavior enables attackers to confirm code execution and collect identifying information from compromised machines during package installation.
