Malicious code in eventea-router (npm) 0 The npm package 'eventea-router' version 20.2.3 contains malicious code that executes remote code on the host during installation or import. It downloads a native binary payload from randomized Cloudflare Workers hostnames or, as a fallback, reconstructs it from DNS TXT records. The payload is saved to temporary directories with disguised filenames, made executable, and executed detached from the main process. The package masquerades as a routing library but performs no routing functions; instead, it acts as a dropper for remote code execution under the guise of telemetry with opt-out options.
