Malicious code in evo-web-base-analytics-data (npm) 0 The npm package evo-web-base-analytics-data version 20.1.5 contains malicious code that dynamically reconstructs download hosts to fetch and execute platform-specific binaries. These binaries are downloaded covertly using HTTPS and a DNS-TXT record fallback channel, written to temporary directories under disguised filenames, given executable permissions, and executed detached from the main process. The use of string fragment assembly and DNS-TXT base64 decoding helps evade static detection and bypass HTTP egress filtering.
