Malicious code in hubert-verify-primary-email-am (npm) 0 The npm package hubert-verify-primary-email-am version 20.4.6 is a malicious package masquerading as an email verification library. When required, it loads a script that reconstructs remote hostnames to evade detection and downloads platform-specific native code from attacker-controlled servers. This code is saved to temporary directories with deceptive filenames, given executable permissions, and executed detached from the main process. There is no integrity verification of the downloaded code, enabling arbitrary native code execution under the installer's user account.
