Malicious code in pfa-prettier-config (npm) 0 The npm package 'pfa-prettier-config' version 20.9.1 is a malicious package masquerading as an environment config reader but contains no legitimate Prettier configuration code. Instead, it downloads and executes attacker-hosted OS-specific binaries by fetching payloads from multiple Cloudflare Workers hosts or via DNS TXT record chunks. The payloads are saved to temporary directories, given executable permissions, and executed detached from the main process. A secondary dropper disguised as an analytics SDK is also included, which performs similar malicious actions upon import or require.
