Malicious code in pfp-forms-independent-sme-glossary-anchor (npm) 0 The npm package pfp-forms-independent-sme-glossary-anchor version 20.4.4 contains malicious code that downloads and executes platform-specific binaries from suspicious hostnames. The code reconstructs these hostnames dynamically, fetches binaries via HTTPS, writes them to temporary directories with disguised filenames, sets executable permissions, and runs them detached from the main process. This behavior occurs during library load time and includes multiple dropper mechanisms, indicating deliberate malicious intent.
